Tommy, bless you Champ. Ik ben niet altijd goed met alle Molukkers geweest vroeger. In Groningen barst het van de Molukkers, ik kende een paar families heel goed in prive (non-crimineel), en andere van de straat stad om het zomaar te zeggen. En ik vind het een heel aangenaam, fatsoenlijk en eervol volk, my type, no doubt. Maar één keer gaven ze om niets een Indo vriend van mij klappen, Tommy.
Omdat ie Indo was, dat was de enige reden. Die jongen was heel correct, harde werker in de staalbouw. Crimineel of niet, hij was gewoon geen grap. Hij kwam uit één van de hardste buurten (Vinkhuizen), en had respect van iedereen daar op straat, omdat ie gewoon solid was, harde kern.
Maar goed, we kwamen eens met ons drieen de poolhall binnen, gewoon een vrijdagavondje. Tommy (Indo), mijn compagnon (halfbloed Suri) en ik (halfbloed Afric), en hoe we langs een groep Molukkers naar binnen willen, kijken ze Tommy scheel en vals aan, en jumpen hem gelijk met z’n allen, huh!? Binnen 5 sec was het los.
Boom, bam, knots wij Tommy uit die groep trekken en mee naar buiten, die is razend omdat hij helemaal niks gedaan had en zomaar klappen had gehad, kansloos tegen zo’n groep. Wij naar buiten en in retreat, boom, komen we kleine Said tegen, en die had een mes bij zich. Tommy confisqueert dat mes gelijk, en hop, wij terug naar die tent.
Dit alles gebeurde binnen een minuut, 2 minuut dat we buiten liepen. Ik denk dat ze binnen zichzelf nog steeds aan het feliciteren en op de borst aan het kloppen waren.
Boom, we rennen weer naar binnen met z’n drieen en Tommy begint gelijk intesteken op die gast die hem net om niets klappen had gegeven. En wij achter die andere Molukkers aanrennen. Iedereen sprong als kikkers door de lucht daar, over die pooltafels, totale chaos. En wij maar jagen, en gelijk na de steekpartij naar buiten, loosoe.
Bordel, we retaliate with hate, dat was the easy-part.
Twee uur later stonden er 6 auto’s vol met razende Molukkers, neven/ ooms van die gozer die gestoken was, voor zijn vaders deur. En de vader van Tommy stond er met een kapmes achter. Te bidden en kracht te verzamelen voor de Strijd, de Storm. Die gelukkig niet door de voordeur heen kwam maar verder rolde.
Tommy, Indo, heb ik na die dag nooit meer gezien (dat zeg ik). Bless my brother in arms, my brother for life TOMMY.

Dat was opgroeien in een provinciestad 20,30 jaar geleden. Geen enkel probleem, mijn maatje werd afgetuigd door een groep en binnen 3,4, minuten stonden we weer in die zaak. De echte prijs voor hun valse glorie afterekenen.

There was no other option in this case, the guy he stabbed was from a very big and dangerous family. My surinam compadre, never returned to that poolhall his whole life again. Me, I was there the next morning again. See what’s up, and if I have to come there with a group from now on.
You see, I went there the next day cause I just don’t give a fock, but wanted to see what everybodies attitude was.
